Pipe Clip Spacing for Plastic Pipe UK

Made from Polypropylene, has a hole for mounting to a wall in the base of the clip. 16 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm and 32 mm are a standalone clip, all larger sizes have a bracket to keep the pipe securely in place.

The distance between pipe clips, or any pipe supports, is dependent on the size of pipe, wall thickness, material, and the temperature of the fluid/gas flowing through it.

Size of the pipe used - The larger the diameter and greater the wall thickness, the wider the spacing should be between your supports/clips. This is because the pipe becomes more rigid.
Material - PVC and ABS have roughly the same support centres. "Softer" materials such as polyethylene (PE) will require more frequent support.
Temperature - It is the nature of plastic that is softens and becomes more ductile at higher temperatures, so the higher the temperature, the more frequent the supports centres need to be to prevent it from flexing and, in the worst case scenario, sagging. A sagging pipe can have dire consequences, it can lead to a build up of dettled solids and restrict flow or even block the air in the pipe; it can also encourage air locks to form, especially in low pressure/head pipe systems.
