OKU SOLAR PANEL FOR POOLS

This system of solar heat collectors is designed to boost water temperatures in your pool. The simple modular design allows for easy installation, and can normally be used with the existing filter pump.

OKU collectors are moulded in one piece, using black plastic to give optimum heat absorption, The plastic is corrosion and pool water resistant, The pool water is pumped directly through the collectors. The collectors are frost resistant and can be walked on.
PUMPS.
The recommended flow rate is 150 to 250 litres per m
² collector surface per hour. The recommended capacity of the pump can be calculated by multiplying the area of the collector by 200 litres. The pressure loss is calculated by adding 5 meters to the difference in height between the collectors and the pool surface.

CONNECTING into your pool.
There are three options.
1. With the pool filter pump, a three way valve and thermostat to control the three way valve.

2. With a dedicated pump working off a thermostat, which controls the pump

3.  With a dedicated pump working off a thermostat and plumbing which is separate from the filtration system.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS.
Very low pressure loss: Approximately 0.003 bar at 200litres/hour/
m²
Flow rate: 150 to 250 litres /hour/
m²
Weight: 6kg /
m² . water volume 6 litres/m²
Maximum pressure: 4.5bar. Operating pressure: 1.2 bar @ 40
°C
Output: up to 85% - capacity 0.85kWh/
m²
Average output: 0.5 to 0.6kWh/
m²
Temperture resistant from -50
°C upto 115°C
The modular design of the collectors allows for large collection areas to be assembled.
See the diagram on the right of a  typical example using the type 1000 and type 1001 panels
The area of collector needed depends on the size of the pool, whether it is indoors or outside, and if it has a cover. Other factors are the position and angle the collector will installed at.
Use the table on the right for the recommended collector size as a percentage of the pool surface area. For pool without a cover the collector should be 50% bigger. Local differences in hours of sun per day can increase or decrease the collector size by 20%
Three collector types.
Type 1000 has a 40mm
Ø collector tube and two 25mm Ø connections.

Type 1001 has four
25mm Ø connections.

Type 1002 has two
40mm Ø collector tubes on each short side.
